  1. i ran a non-gen dizzy for 2 years on an old V8 with no problems even with a fair bit of water.
  2. Unsure on your elec issues, might just be a fuse gone, worth a try. as for not starting, V8 like very good ignition componants, so make sure all are clean and working well, if in doubt change them. (plugs, leads, dizzy cap, Rotor arm, Coil) check and make sure everything is clean and moisture free. best bet is take out each plug spray with WD40 and scrub with a toothbrush, squirt of WD40 in the lead, do the same inside the dizzy cap making sure its clean with good connections. If you have spark and fuel then you should be ok. But as said they like very good ignition componants
  3. They would be used all round, so its not an option any more. Just wondered if it was straight forward or a lot of work involved which there is. Thanks for all the replies though.
  4. I was just thinking as seen it a few times, and everyone is feeling the pinch at the moment, But you are right they are a little too narrow to run anything worth while.
  5. yeah i would imagine its near on impossible for the average person to get that perfectly square and useable.
  6. yeah thought there had to be something major involved like that
  7. I have seen a few landy's now running old disco steels backwards (i.e. turning them round) to give more off-set. is this advisable and do they literally turn round, or do they need minor work to sit properly?
  8. Yeah its a single point so hopefully will be ok
  9. im sure is not going to be a straight fitment but as long as most fits then it will be fine
  10. yeah i didnt see any reason why it shouldn't but thought i better ask the question
  11. As he title really. will a LPG kit from a 4.0 P38 wire into my 1994 late classic? As there is one local that has just popped up
  12. No ticking or other noises from the engine, it actually sounds very good for an old V8. My next thing was to do a compression test but cant get hold of one at the mo which is a pain.
  13. You sure its the abs pump and not the air compressor?
  14. Oh yeah totally forgot about the temp sensor, they can cause all sorts of issues. Might be worth trying first Then ill go onto electrickery bits... oh what fun i hate electrics..
  15. I have had a quick look over friends RRC as it seems to be missing on 1, checked plugs leads etc and all seem fine and not very old. It ticks over ok but as you rev it you can tell its missing, and after a while ticking over (5-10 min) it will cut out and wont want to re-start for a while. Any ideas on here? AFM? or fuel pressure?
  16. The only thing i would say would be valves hitting pistons at TDC. Cant see how the box would stop anything TBH.
  17. Certainly does make sense if the air is already there
  18. they dont seem to big under the truck, But if they sell for decent money then i might get that off this afternoon then
  19. Had a few replies about ARB is the best, so looks like im going to be saving for a bit and getting a front and rear set-up. Can i use the RRC standard Air set up to run the lockers? Now converted to coils so its sat there not being used.
  20. Definatley not, maybe a bit of grease might help it out
  21. Just clicked the link the thier site and crashed my laptop...
  22. Just thinking lately about getting lockers on the range rover as it seems to have issues with TC and ABS. Are there much performance difference's between ARB, KAM, Detroit? I gather ARB are better as twice the price, but also need all the air set-up too, But the others are they simply bolt in and go?
