  1. Love that, just the sort of engineering approach I like.
  2. I had to have the body caps replaced on my 07 Puma as they were totally shot, it was only 4 years old and had only done 40,000 miles. My last Land Rover was a series 2a which was over thirty years old when I got it and had no rust on the caps as they were properly galvanised. I think these new ones are galvanised then painted so not sure of the quality of the galvanising. Luckily it was covered by the warranty. I was thinking of having the chassis professionally waxoyled, anyone had it done? Is it worth the money? I do intend keeping the car.
  3. I used a company called extreme 4x4, they asked a lot of questions about vehicle usage, equipment fitted etc, they recommended their standard shocks. These are now fitted and I have not been disappointed. I would definitely recommend them. PS I have have no connection with the above company, just a very satisfied customer.
  4. It sounds like you may have part of a loom chaffing through, follow the wires back from the headlight and check for any obvious damage. I had something similar on my defender, OS main beam blowing fuses, turned out to be loom partly chaffed through where it came from under the wing into the engine bay (up near the bulkhead. It was a fairly easy fix once I foundd the fault. Let us know how you get on.
  5. Thanks for the snap judgement, only just joined and a welcome like this is hardly making me feel welcome!!!
  6. Hi, if it's still available I would like a copy of both of these please. Tried to send a PM, but got an error message, will try again.
