  1. Big thanks to CwazyWabbit for doing my speedo mileage correction, was done in super fast time. Cheers Stuart.
  2. Got the temp gauge to work was a broken wire on the speedo loom and also fitted the speedo speed transducer and that works too Just need to get it over to CwazyWabbit for him to correct the mileage Thanks for all your help Cheers Stuart.
  3. Yeah took for a drive, I've got it through the speedo and it's not working, going to try the resistor way.
  4. Are these type of resistors ok http://www.maplin.co.uk/610-piece-e12-1-4w-resistor-starter-pack-2163 Cheers Stuart.
  5. If you don't mind opening one up, Cheers
  6. So does that mean I need a 14k resistor.
  7. There is some resistor values in this thread, but I'm sure they where for a 200tdi temp sender.
  8. Just been doing some searching about this temp gauge, I am right in thinking if I connect the gauge direct to the sender and not through the speedo it will over read and go into the red at normal operating temps. So do I just need to fit a resistor inline between the sender and gauge, if so does any body know what resistor I'll need with a 300tdi green temp sender fitted. Thanks Stuart.
  9. Cheers for the link The X-Brake came today, only ordered it yeterday Fitted the genuine temp sender tonight and still doesn't work When I turn the ignition on is moves to the blue part of the dial and stays there until I switch the it off. If the ROW part of the speedo is broke can the td5 temp gauge be used without going through the speedo. Any ideas guys. Stuart.
  10. Thanks for the replies, if I'm going to have to take the brake drum off, I might as well order a X-Brake Cheers Stuart.
  11. Have ordered a genuine temp sender and another speed sensor, it's extremely tight for room fitting the speed sensor with the handbrake drum and cable still fitted. Will see if I can align it up better next time. Cheers Stuart.
  12. Hi, Thanks for all the info in this thread, made it a lot easier to do. Got a couple of problems. 1 - The temp gauge doesnt work, it moves about 5mm when the ignition is on but thats all, i've done the ROW wiring and fitted a green AMR1425 sender. I've tested the gauge by connecting it to the fuel gauge wiring and its works. The only thing I can think of is the green sender wasn't an oem part, it was ALLMAKES. 2 - The speedo didn't work, so took the transducer out and found it had snapped the plastic square drive pin off the end of the transducer. Was it just bad luck or is there any way of telling if the drive pin is located properly as the transducer is spring loaded. I've ordered a new one but don't want to snap this one. Cheers Stuart.
  13. Hi. 140 is the degrees of sweep of the wipers. On my 300tdi it's got a 115 deg, the 140 deg was fitted from 2002 when they moved the wiper motor higher up the bulkhead and changed the size of the wiper wheelbox for a larger size cog with 40 teeth instead of 32. If you've got the smaller size wheelbox's you might find the drivers side wiper blade sweeps off the screen. Stuart.
  14. Hi. My rear diff needs replacing on my 1999 300Tdi 90, will a diff from a 2011 puma 90 fit in my 300 rear axle. The puma diff is not a p38 type. Cheers Stuart.
  15. Yep, front and rear on a 90 will fit. The yokes seem slightly wider and bigger than the old type props. Stuart.
  16. Hi, Tdci (puma) 90 will fit, i've got them on mine, it's a straight swap. 110 not sure, front will but the back might not because of the short diff nose of the p38 diff. Stuart.
