Quickie one, need a sound proofing kit for a 6 cylinder station wagon. Obviously it lets water in everywhere so that rules out most usual kits!!
Any thoughts/ recommendations?
-
Keith Gott have also got one in a shell quite cheap.
-
Dammit! i've got to make a delivery at Southampton tomorrow.
I'll be out there next weekend though. i'm usually up there once or twice a week if anyone wants to meet up?
A couple of us are up for doing something on the Plain next weekend if you fancy it?

I often take Jap imports in as p/xs. They are worthless compared to a UK model. Normally we send them straight to auction (BCA at Bedford or Brightwells).
How quick are you (or friend!) after something? I've not got anything like that on the go at the moment but that changes daily.
-
Nice one! Have those got more off set then most modulars? They fill the arches just nicely

Pic is on the Gallery
Nice one!!

I'll pass it all on, not for me - not quite sure what hes got in mind for it!

Where are the legs that go to the chassis.
Bear in mid that over time Land Rover moved from cages (as on the SV and 50th) to "windscreen protectors" (Black and G4). Basically late ones are cosmetic only.
From memory the Tomb Raider had a "roof rack support system" although its been a while since I saw one. I dont think it ever had chassis mounts on it although should be easy enough to make.

Not for me!! Got a mate thats after one for a '97 P38. Purely for cosmetic reasons but I've never actually seen one?
Anyone know of someone that stocks/ makes them?
Bollox!! I mean SUMP!!!

Geezer wants 6k for the asking price. Too rich much for me.
Possibley worth it to a collector, and a healthy profit over what it sold for a year or so ago!!
I HPI'd it, the number is still with it which is good. Would be nice if it stays together.

This is one of mine
Without looking I cant actually remember the military reg numbers of mine, and I'm too tired to go and look!!
Cross memeber is a little scabby on mine as well, make sure its replaced properly, the correct part is nla.

Hi all,
A few years ago I was looking at converting a Series into a 200TDi. I've done a fair bit of reading up but I can't find anything decisive on it so it would be excellent if someone who has actually done it can tell of their experiences. Some places say it's fine, some say they wouldn't put a TDi on the stock transmission or you'll destroy the gearbox and propshafts.
Would it be possible to put a 200TDi and 5spd box (lt77 or r380 etc) into a Series 2 or 3 and not destroy anything? How do people get around the lights in the grille of an S2, would they not get in the way of the rad/intercooler? Are there any other considerations? Not fussed about power steering or any fancy anciliaries.
Sorry for all the questions but any experience would be greatly appreciated!
If you're near St Albans give the Oak Tree garage a ring, they have/ did have, a 109" S2 running 200 TDi

Good choice!!
I've got two now (although only one up and running).
As I understand it if its fully operational and you will let it be used for emergency use then yes it is MOT excempt.
This should also cover the tax exemption, they are all old enough to be taxed as historic so free tax anyway.
Which one have you found? I've got a list of known ones left (although a "little" out of date).

Dont fit the LR raised air intake! Had a row with our workshop this morning, they fitted one with out sealing it. Latest version (looks like a Mantec one) doesnt mention sealing it at all!!
-
Nice one! You did very well, I couldnt have got anything close to that price sadly

We've been told its been delayed for another year, still no autobox.

Get back to the customer service pronto, if it's all reset then you shouldn't have any more problems.
Sat here waiting for a responce!!
Working all tomorrow and out tomorrow night, want it sorted before Sunday ideally!
I'm guessing they dont have 24hr customer services though...
-
Update!!
Ebay have "reset" the account, credited the listing fees for all the dodgey auctions (hopefully the 90 as well!!) and all I need to do now is enter my secret answer to my secret question and everything will be sorted.
Except I cant. Bloody thing doesnt like my answers (which are correct, 100%) and now wont even let me in that far. I'm guessing who ever was playing with it changed them as well.
So far progress is steady...
