no just areas i cleaned up to weld attachments to and then changed my mind.
-
im also gonna get a couple of lockable boxes to shove on there and sort out the spare wheel mounting. but it can wait for my credit card to stop screaming in pain!

go into the dealer with your v5 and ask for the code. cost me a beer last time, but i know the owner :-P

i was thinking disco1 alloys. oh i dunno about them breaking easily, ive been abusing mine offroad for a year. granted about bending them though.
-
all you need now is a pair of alloy wheels to make it look really nice

and yes, i know one side of the hoop's wonkey. Mildly miffed off but not remaking it. its only 5mm out, would you believe.....

thats a good one^^^
i use this method on motorbikes all the time. i once aimed my gopro camera at the reservoir overnight and sped it up to watch it back, and the amount of bubbles that appear is amazing and that is after i was sure i had got all the air out.....
-
maybe. but i'll play in it for a bit and see. not imo worth the effort or cost.
-
yeah, 2x 1" box across the width. will fit vibration dampening sections if i need to,
im bending the cage up myself. steep learning curve, i can tell ya.

has the p38 got a borg warner? if so, (and im pretty sure it does) then im quite impressed with mine.
i drove it through a axle deep mud bog last week on road tyres, (where a series 3 on mud's got stuck in about 20 feet) and it drove through fine, no drama. so yes. i'd go borg warner. infinitly better than my disco's lt230.

Right tried turning it over again. This time as its turning over it coughs and the rpm drops as though something has forced it to slow down if that makes sense, then it picks back up and does it again. Does that a few time then just carries on turning over normally. Obvs dont wanna turn it over to much incase i screw the starter. lol.
my p38 was doing that when i had ht leads 1 and 4 reversed.

yeah im thinking theyre too hard, may get someone to wind me a pair custom.
the build is getting on now..
injury's to date
took corner of finger off on sharp edge whilst stripping bodywork
burn on left arm whilst welding up the back..... put torch down, lent across it to grab hammer. you can guess the rest.
burn on right hand whilst welding upside down (nahhh i wont bother with the glove for that 1" long weld...
and worst to date is the 2" long gash on a finger where i caught it on my angle grinder when i wasnt paying attention........ might have to get that one looked at in minor injurys tomorrow.... its not looking healthy.
these pics are 3 day old. havent taken todays.

Its a mpi, so not exactly powerful but still a laugh.
at the moment its got a (half fitted..) 2" lift (body lift pending) 13000lb winch, sump guard, diff guards, welded rear diff (when i get round to it) insa turbo dakars, marine grade fuel tank and in line pump, and a load of steel to build a roll cage out of lol.
plans for the back include a winch (at some point) a lockable box to stick the recovery gear in, and of course the fuel tank, spare, high lift etc.
its gonna be fun

my disco has finally had it, all the seatbelt mounts have gone, its not going to go through another mot and the body shell is twisted where i smacked it in to a tree, sideways.
so i decided to do something fun with it... trayback it.
im going to let the pics do the talking mostly, but i'm making good progress, less than 3 full days into it now. im awaiting a steel delivery.
all pics are thumbnails, click to enlarge.
pic set one
pic set two
and as it sits atm...
getting on.

that's exactly how my RR was behavingwith a blocked rad...
-
dodgy or incorrect thermostat or blocked rad would be my guess.
-
yeah its quite good at that too
-
do yourself a favour and paint the floor bright red. you'll thank me when you drop that vital nut/bolt/spring
-
