i have a early range rover gearbox in my trailer that i am building am thinking of swapping it out for a lt77 is the old 4 speed worth money as i have been told this a hard gearbox to get hold of.
i did think it was air myself but have run the pipe from the pump to a container of fresh fuel and its still the same had the timing case of tonight to check the pump timing but its all ok so taken the pump and injectors of and going to get them tested.
i have a fault with a disco 1 300tdi fly by wire pump type. it takes a long time to start even when hot have bypassed the filter head and removed the stop valve plunger makes no differance it will always start but takes about a 50 second of cranking to start this happens even if you turn it off and try immediately it is still bad i think it may be a pump fault.thanks
some help needed to tell the difference with early v8 water pumps have just got hold of a bitsa car early rangrover chassie with lightweight body and the water pumps had it i am told there is a long and long nose type how do i tell whats what? thanks steve.
