Bigwood
I have an F-Reg 90 with what apears to have dim dip lighting fitted, why I will never understand. The main beam works ok but the dip beam is very poor sugesting it is on dim dip. Whilst changing the bulkhead I found what looks like a heavy metal cased relay, Lucas, with a multiplug going into it. It was hanging down the back of the dash board. I would rather get rid of any frills like dim dip so how can I by pass this .
Ivan
Mine played up on my E reg 90 (lights constantly on even though the switch was off). If I remember correctly I just unplugged it and it all worked OK. HTH Ivan
western
Just unplug & tape up the plug to prevent any short circuits, all the lights will work as normal. Dim dip was brought in to prevent vehicles being driven in towns/built up areas on sidelights only as a way of making the vehicle more visible to pedestrians. dim dip seems to have died out on new vehicles now.
