Interesting points smallfry, however in the current non autonomous world what happens when little Jimmy runs out in front of a car or decides to play on a railway? Human drivers can also fail to spot children/people for any number of reasons and it will still be called an accident, why should it be any different for a computer driver? I know that sounds harsh.

I won't even mention the number of idiots around here that don't know how to drive past a horse.
