detonationretard
Disco one alloys, the ones that look a bit like milky way magic stars if you know what I mean. What is the largest trye that fits them? I was wondering if a 35 x 12.5 pro comp would go on or is it too wide. I have some on steels bit the rims are 8" not
BogMonster
The widest tyre you should put on 7" rims is about 10.5 inches. BFG's website gives the following: 31x10.50R15 - rims from 7.0 - 9.0 inches 32.11.50R15 - rims from 8.0 to 10.0 inches 33x12.50R15 - rims from 8.5-11.0 inches Having said that I have seen 33x12.50R15 on 7x15 rims but they don't look happy, the sidewalls are way too pinched in and I think you'd find the tyre carcass might split around its circumference, I've seen that happen with wider BFG's mounted on 5.5 Defender rims. SHAVED_GORILLA
Would 12.50 tyres be ok on 8" rims? Andy
BogMonster
I run my 33x12.50R15 on 8x15 rims with no problems and that combination is a very common fit here. Not sure about insurance issues elsewhere in the world (minimum width BFG quote is 8.5") but it certainly works ok in practice.
