Have cleaned the area behind the fuel filter , right side behind the rear wheel and there is no sign of it.. Any ideas please where Land Rover might have hidden it on the last few Disco 2s. Clifford Garrett Posted August 28, 2018 Share Posted August 28, 2018 (edited) If it's the original chassis, the number is only very lightly etched into the RH rear rail. You're looking in the right place but will need to clean the rail back to the original painted surface to have any chance of seeing it. Arjan Posted September 13, 2018 Share Posted September 13, 2018 Normally, complying with the industry standard, the VIN # should be with a D2 behind the RH Front wheel, just before or above the axle. You should also have a vin tag behind the windscreen and a complete VIN plate in the engine bay. Look in the owners manual for the location of these numbers in doubt.
