Bodywork Ideas.

Recommended Posts

So I'm working on a hybrid from spare parts as mentioned before; one thing I'm trying to decide is if I'm going to keep Series 3 bodywork for the sides or figure out some transition to a flat-side after the doors (or build doors and just make them short enough that the flat side extends all the way to the rear quarterpanel), and was wondering if anyone knew of examples of people doing things like this. Ideally I'd like it to look half-decent as a vehicle as well as being functional. If I was building the bulkhead itself I'd just go flat all the way a la original Tomcat; and if I had a truck cab available I'd probably just use that and do tray back, but if there are examples of keeping it wagon shaped but without needing to use the sides etc that would be something nice to look at.

Though really, I have tons of ideas, I'm more interested in seeing examples of things other people have done. Most seem to either go truck-cab trayback or stock bodywork, but there must be more people out there that've done really interesting custom work too.

The guy who widened his Lightweight is a good example though; amazing work.
