Exmoor Beast
Our new laser printer has the error message 'service req'd E511' nothing in the manual sheds light on what E511 means... Can anyone help? Epson have gone to bed until tomorrow... Will

imspanners
From what I can gather, it's something to do with the belt drive for the pulleys and it's not sitting in the "home" position???? Possibly ECU is not reading belt location correctly? This fault needs to be reset to clear though? Using the online Epson manual, apparently tells you how... The printer recognizes the Homepositon of the Belt´s no longer (is with on the PCU)! Replace simply Photoconductor Unit and settled itself the problem! The problematic nature is confessed in EPSON!! yellow
As far as I understood, not having the German manual, they speak of the Photo Unit that needs replacing. There is a doide in that unit that is busted. Try to check the 'online manual' on how to deactivate the toner error message. Did you manage to change the toner without using the proper way to do this? Remember, I did not read the manual) All this can be disregarded if yours is not the C1100 Epson...
