Brian B
I have no power to headlight switch on 94 Defender 90 with diesel Can anyone tell me where the power comes from? There is no under hood fuse box like US models have.
steve b
Welcome to the forum Brian , The inference from your post would suggest no side lights either ? Can you check with a meter the feed to the switch to eliminate switch issues ? cheers Steve b
monkie
I have made this basic circuit diagram for the lighting circuit on my 1988 110. You need to work backwards to find where your issue is. The brown wire to the switch is the unfused live feed for the entire circuit which comes from the main bus on the starter motor solenoid terminal. It provides the feed at the light switch for the entire circuit. The fuses as you can see in my diagram protect the side lights, dipped beam and main beam between the lights and the switches. jasonb-no
I had the same issue on my 1999 Td5 several years ago. Turned out to be burnt «Header 0287» More info about the issue here
