'Carling' switches: fitting a USB charger in to my Defender 110

My memory is hazy but I had the centre panel out far enough on a couple of my Puma's so that is easy enough but I can't recall what the access is like to the cig socket as that is down low but I did need to take various live feeds for this and that so if the socket was a ball ache I'd have got the juice from elsewhere. From memory undoing the two front screws and easing the panel forward and up until it is unclipped. The radio comes out with DIN keys - the thin ones I believe. If it's coded you may need that if you unplug the wiring. I think it all comes out easily and there's enough room for plenty of air at the back of it.
