Unless I’ve completely missed something obvious in what you’ve said, which is always possible! I get that the bearing is there, but I was saying that you might be able to use the rear end of the shaft to DRIVE the pump to supply that (and the other bearings if desired) with suitable modifications to the rear cover to house the pump and the shaft to drive the pump.
