Def Harry Posted May 9, 2023 Share Posted May 9, 2023 What CVs are people using the majority on sale are britpart or spurious brands? My nearside one is clicking. I only replaced it about 2 years ago with a Bearmach/ODM one so I don't fancy another ODM. The britpart ones seem to get more positive feedback than most of their stuff, however I have a pathological fear of blue boxes. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Snagger Posted May 10, 2023 Share Posted May 10, 2023 I have a deep seated hatred of Britpart, sharing typical experiences of others on most of their parts. However, I have used their CVS on my late RRC many years ago and they were astonishingly good, outlasting the originals fitted in the factory. Ashcroft did destructive torque tests on them and they did very well, and though I have never seen any long term wear tests done on them, mine seemed to do well. A lot can change in over a decade, so I hope they are still made to the same standard, but they were so much cheaper than genuine that is seemed worth a try.
