Robf
Mechanic had to disconnect the tailshaft from the transfer case as the transfer case needs a rebuild. He can't rebuild it, so am looking elsewhere. Currently he says it's working in 2wd but not sure if driving it will cause further issues. Anyone have any experience with this? Bowie69
Freelanders have run around in 2WD since the dawn of time due to similar issues -it will be fine.
Escape
As above, no harm in driving a Freelander in FWD, it wont cause any load or stresses. Just remember you no longer have the benefit of full time 4x4, so the car will react differently!
