HELP Td5 issues at whits end

Recommended Posts

So I have a Td5 10p engine which I had bought to go in my pre face lift I’ve ended up putting it in a face lift due to the pre facelift being too rusty.

when I bought the engine it did not come with an ecu so I have put my original de immobilised ecu connected to the engine.

the fuel system has been primed and I know fuel has been getting to the injectors. When I first turn the key it will cough but doesn’t want to run. I have had a scanner put on the truck and no fault codes were present we looked at live data and I had a crank signal.
I have had it coughing on break cleaner but won’t take over on to diesel.

it’s got to the point now where I have ordered a nanocom

Have you paired the ECU with the alarm? I've retrofitted a Td5 but had it deimmobilised so I'm not sure how you go about doing the pairing!

You mentioned that it has crank signal - you could try tow-starting it to rule out any potential noise from the starter causing issues.
