SiWhite
My lathe restoration is nearly finished! All I need now is a belt. I have tried a serpentine belt snipped from a scrapyard and sewn and glued together, which only lasted a few minutes (but it made the lathe turn ) I'm after a supplier of flat drive belts. I've scoured Google, and the only supplier appears to be the chap who runs lathes.co.uk, who apparantly wants about £55 for one Does anyone know of a supplier of flat drive belts that can be split-and-rejoined to fit to my machine? Rustyrangie
You could try the Vintage motorbike guys. Lots of early bikes used them. I remember an old colleague of mine making them up at work, (in his lunch hour of course....Ha!)
