Guest diesel_jim
I'm trying to find a source for a new NACHI 17BC05S3NSE2 F3 bearing from a Bosch alternator. (ex disco 130A jobbie) Stripped the alternator down there are 2 bearings in it. went to my local place (Thamesdown bearings in Swindon), they had one one the shelf, but the other (above) is proving more illusive than the scarlet pimpernell himself. they made a couple of phone calls, no one does them, apparently it's a japanese bearing, made "exclusively" for Bosch, so that folk supposidly have to buy a new alternator instead of mending like i am! So, anyone got any clues where to get one from? i've gone through google, emailed several UK suppliers and a few Japanese bearing manufacturers. Bosch UK website doesn't seem very helpful either. TIA!

rtbarton
Jim,You could have a look here & see if they can sort you out! I have used them in the past & found them very good! http://simplybearings.co.uk/shop/index.php Regards, I would endorse their service too, you can search their catalogue by bearing size. One thing to watch - they list identical bearings at different prices, pick the cheapest!
