tedsmart Posted May 19, 2007 Share Posted May 19, 2007 Hi, When undoing the rear Diff filler it hisses as if air locked, does this mean that the breather on the diff needs cleaning? I've just renewed the oil in front and rear diff, transfer box, and main gear box. the oil for the main gear box seems strange that it requires ATF Dexron III, transmission lubricant for a manual gear box? western Posted May 19, 2007 Share Posted May 19, 2007 Most likely a blocked breather, just remove from axle & clean/blow through to clear it. LT77 & R380 main gearboxes need ATF or MTF94 as they have a internal oil pump, EP90 is to thick for the pump. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
