smo Posted May 22, 2007 Author Share Posted May 22, 2007 I have a new one here ready, the problem is getting it out of the "pressed in bit", the 2 bolts are out but i cant get it to shift as there isnt a place where you can rest it to belt the middle as the joint has a flange under it? Bull Bar Cowboy Posted May 22, 2007 Share Posted May 22, 2007 Cut the ears off ………… support it between two anvils …………. Place a suitable sized socket top of the joint…………. Then give it a sharp tap (read…….. hefty swing or several) with a 14lb sledge hammer ……. It never fails to move them…. Remember to really clean out the housing and also use a couple of log bolts to get the correct alignment for the ears when refitting....
