slihp
I chaps; have been looking under the bonnet, and notice a pipe leading down past the engine and just hanging down (as if it is a breather). traced it back up and connects to the thing circled in red in the picture. (the blue line is roughly where it hangs down) My question is what is this and what purpose dose it serve. p.s. bear in mind that the picture was taken from the workshop manule and some things are fliped over to the other side of the engine bay. but the the item i reffer to is located on the left hand side above the shock turets as in the picture. p.p.s i am sure it gose to this thing circled,. if not this then it is something in this location?? cheers p

dirtydiesel
It sounds like a Vac pipe the thing you've circled is the vac controler for the EGR system, so the pipe could be either the one to the diaphram on the EGR butterfly or the pipe to the vac pump on the alternator. Or i could be completely wrong
