Temp sender value

Hi

I've fitted an electrical fan out of a Mondeo to my 300tdi Defender 90

Can anyone advise of the correct Temp sender value. Sender is fitted to the return from the rad

Is your sender adjustable?

If so, just run the engine until the coolant is at running temp, turn the sender down till the fan starts, then turn it up a smidge til the fan stops.

I havn't got the sender yet. What I need is the temp, the fan should turn on at. The link only gives the part numbers relating to temps.

the link says: " The one we supply (an Intermotor 50091) we feel is most generally suited to Land Rover temperatures". That is 88-83 degrees.

It's just an opinion (theirs). Mine would be to choose one with:

- ON temp: 0..2 degrees over the thermostat temp.

- OFF temp: 3...5 degrees below thermostat temp.
