rejo
Put the air con on today and nothing happened. After a quick check in the car park at work the radiator fans came on as soon as the air con button is pressed, I can hear a click of a relay somewhere in the depths and the orange lamp is lit when the switch is pressed. Theres no power at the compressor. No busted fuses. Anyone have tips on where to look first. Its a 300 tdi and it was working a month ago. Cheers. Disco Sev
If the system is low on pressure (or high for that matter) then there will be no power to activate the compressor. You can check by shorting out the high/low pressure switch.
lynall
Quick check find the valves on the air con lines remove the cap a quick jab with a screwdriver no hiss = no gas if it just needs a top up thereare refill kits on e-bay search for castrol R134. I have used these on a few cars including my own cars Mini, TD5, TDI, Merc and it has worked in every case, the ac worked but was not cold enough and the can reatored it back to normal. TheRecklessEngineer
As it is completely useless and just taking up valuable space in your truck, you could remove it all and give it to me...
