will_warne
MACThere is no alternative. I'd agree IF your in a big city otherwise the aftercare / service people are a shower of ****. As a result I'm on my second Dell in a row as I can spec the machine as I want it and if it breaks they'll be out next day to fix it. My last Dell had a motherboard die and they came to where I was next working day and replaced the motherboard on site without charge. Very impressive. Before the Dells I've had Sony's (very nice, very well made, excellant screens but spendy) and a Toshiba (it was a good machine but I had it about 10 years ago so I don't think that's a good representation). Tony, have you thought about going to Currys? They're sale has already started so you might pick up a bargin.

SteveG
Looks like a good buy. Never had a problem with Sony laptops and they tend to be light and look good too Cheers Steve
