TomG
Had an idea / suggestion.. how about a 'weights' thread to build up a list of weights of various components / addons / modifications. e.g. if you know the weight of any of the stuff below or can pop it on some scales and post up the weight with a description of what it is. Mods: Perhaps once there's a good number of replies could it be moved into the tech archive? not sure if this will be successful or not but seemed like an idea for folk building / modding I'll drag the scales out to the garage tomorrow and post a couple up. e.g. Chassis 90, 110 Standard or HD / Galv Axles Rover Front, Rover Rear, Salisbury Rear, C303s, 404s Wheel & Tyre Combos e.g 35" Simex on Mach 5's, bigger sizes Gearboxes LT77, LT85, R380, ZF4 Transfer Boxes LT230, Borg Warner Engines 200TDI, 300TDI, TD5, Rover V8 (with or without ancillaries) Bulkhead Bare or with everything attached Bodywork Rear Tub, Van top, bonnet, tailgate Recovery Winches, bumper, rollcage, batteries

ROGUE TROOPER
lightest rangie in existence!chassis must be best part of 750kg on its own....... No way the RRC chassis is 750kg as I can lift it! A bare chassis is more like 250kg. What I have been looking for is a heavy duty fish scales up to 300kg!!
