Fish13
I've got an '88 classic that I'm about to change the camshaft in and know there is an aircon 'radiator' in front of the main radiator. Can this be moved out of the way, or do I need to de-gas the system? If so, can this be done safely by me? What is the best way to do this? Cheers, Hugo. wkw90
I could be wrong but i don't think you should mess with the gas side of aircon .
steve_d
The main rad will disconnect and lift out. The aircon rad can be lifted and laid over the wing. You can release the pressure of the aircon but this would not be environmentally friendly. An A/C engineer would release it into a sealed container for disposal. Fish13
Thanks, was wondering if there was enough 'flex' in the system! Cheers Steve d.

Steve releasing the gas to atmosphere carries heavy fines and or jail terms if you get caught so best not to you will also need a license to carry out any work to an aircon system after july this year bsides that you need the correct equipment
