110_USA
I have three posts and two bolts on the bonnet of my Defender. I'll probably need to make the bracket to hold the wheel in place (as it is not there) Would be great if anyone would submit photos of the bracket and how it is affixed, although it looks pretty simple. My carrier looks just like this + two bolts in the outer posts. Cheers
Guest diesel_jim
You need to drill 3 holes through the bonnet. i can't remember if there is a bracket that goes "under" that one you show, with the holes already in it (so you could use it as a template) but it fits through looking like this: you can just about see the holes underneath it here: the square piece of plate sits in between the "rails" of the bonnet. then the 4 rubber doughnuts bolt through where the holes are in on said rails. and the bracket that holds the wheel down is this: (Does anyone know how to save individual pages from adobe .pdf files? i've got RAVE with the fitting instructions, but i can't save the specific pages for this one )
PaulMc
The .pdf files on RAVE will only open with the version of Adobe Acrobat Reader on the RAVE CD. This version of Acrobat has been nobbled so that you can't save the files or individual pages. You can get saveable versions of manuals and installation instructions from Land Rover's website, the link, entitled - Take me to the Owners Information Website is on this page - http://www.landrover.co.uk/gb/en/Owners/Le...fo_Overview.htm I've already dowloaded the installation instructions for both Bonnet Mounted Spare Wheel Kits, get them here - http://www.hubbard.nightmail.ru/Bonnet%20S...r%20STC7633.pdf (Steel Wheel Kit) http://www.hubbard.nightmail.ru/Bonnet%20S...r%20STC7686.pdf (Alloy Wheel Kit) Paul. steve_d
I have an involvement with a 110 which has a different clamp arrangement. The wheel is stowed upside down and a simple 'U' section bar goes across the 2 bolts. Is this unique? Steve

There is another way; you can print from rave. This means if you have a PDF program installed (ie Docudesk, google search, not expensive) then you can print to PDF, then send as email attachment, very handy.
