disconeil
hi guys and gals, this is my first time doing anything like this so i am apologising in advance for any wrongs or mess ups. i have a problem and would like to know if anyone can help me. firstly, i have a disco 1 on a "m" plate 94. the truck is great and never caused me a problem in the last 18 months, however yesterday whilst waiting for my wife the engine was ticking over on just under 1000 revs when the speedo needle started "jumping and twitching" up to the 50 mph mark. i would be grateful if anyone knows whats happening. i am thanking you in advance and look forward to hearing from you. JST
speedo is manual driven on those isint it? so not likely to be an electrical issue.
Ivan
I think 94 will be a 300 Series so the speedo will be electrical. Most probably the transducer. Either a poor connection, the wires catching somewhere (and shorting) or the transducer shot. HTH Ivan
