gruntus Posted March 18, 2008 Share Posted March 18, 2008 Hi All, I started stripping the head off the 200TDI over the weekend and I want to take all the carbon deposits off the head. I have tried gunk and petrol so far but I wanted something that wasn't so elbow grease intensive (cleaning the ports by hand may take a while). Lars L Posted March 18, 2008 Share Posted March 18, 2008 In my experience, some kind of "environmentally friendly" degreaser, not petroleum but water based, does a better job on dissolving the carbon deposits.
