sheppy
ok so basically i will be doing a fair few miles on the motorway in my 90 so am after any suggestions as to what modifications/upgrades i could use to improve top speed.... it does 60-65 but feels strained at these speeds at the moment. Thanks, Ben

Guppy
Fit an early Disco transfer box? Although without the 200tdi as well I'm not sure whether it's worth the time/money/effort. Less extreme ideas might be to try and kit your wagon out with a few creature comforts to make journeys more bearable. Carpet/soundproofing in the load-space, a good stereo, road tyres or A/T's rather than muds....that sort of thing. Possibly a bulkhead removal bar and custom seat runners if you're tall. Let's be honest, they're not really built for tearing along the M4. I'd be especially weary about doing prolonged hi-revs in a TD You get used to the slower pace quite quickly. I've got an '85 N/A and I find it quite calming to be chuntering along, knowing that I'll arrive when I get there!
Quagmire
I have BFG AT's on my 2.25p 90 and the ride is much better than the Michelins i had on it previously, and the tyre noise is negligible... ...compared to the noise of the canvas at 60-70mph. 60 mostly though, it saves fuel.
