V8 3.5 110 1988 Exhaust

Recommended Posts

Hello Newbie Here.

I am having trouble with the join on my v8 exhaust. The problem area is the Y connect to the Down pipes. I have had them resealed, pasted bandaged. I would like to know the little sod keeps dislodging.

V8 110 3.5 1988SW.

You could try two clamps on the joint, or have a welder tack it together!

Unless you are bashing the exhaust on the ground offroad, the most likely reason for it to keep popping apart is a backfire, usually on overrun.

Have you changed anything lately which may have left the engine running rich?

Hi Thanks for the reply. I have only added an Open LPG system to the engine. I suspect this may have been dodgy when I bought it..

I notice from adverts a stainless steel version can be added. Would this be worth buying for this aged model. Or just replace like for like the better option.
