wozzer uk
1987 defender fitted with 200tdi engine that doesnt really matter so here goes :- when switching to main beam the n/s doesn't work, now the problem checked the voltage in the blue and grey wire reads approx 10v to 11v with engine not on, now me thinking that its ok live feed there but as i connect it to the bulb it drops to 0 volts , i have the earth wire straight to body with others from idicator and side light and they all work ok o/s works fine Is it worth running a wire from the other side to feed them both cheers warren
western
headlight as 3 wires from the bulb connector, for dip/main & earth, sounds like one wire is shorting out maybe straight to earth or the bulb dip element is blown. follow the wiring back along the inner wing to the multiplugs by the brake servo, might be a chaffed wire.
