What type of mill is it,a machinery mover will cost a small fortune if its like a bridgeport type you will easyly move this on a small plant trailer, also bear in mind the pallet network,i have moved lathes, millers etc all over on them, book a double pallet for a turret mill for about 95.00 Carl. It's an interact , bridgeport turrets are probably lighter, I will see if I can get a weight. I can get a car trailer not sure about getting it on or off though... Mark
There is a chap who advertises on homeworkshop.org.uk: Thinking of buying a machine but you can not move it, I can supply transit flatbed vehicle with crane and transport machines like Harrison, Colchester, Boxford Milling machines and Lathes, Wadkin, Sedgwick, Starrett woodworking machines, table and bandsaws and other items like engines, steam engines, workshop to workshop including getting them inside and on the floor using medium size vehicle so I can get down ten foots and driveways, it is not much bigger then a large estate car but can lift and transport 1200kg. Most items will be collected and delivered the same day depending on mileage and time by an experienced machine mover/machine repair engineer that has a good working knowledge of the machinery. Part/shared loads and half days are sometimes available depending on the daily schedule. This is a one to one service and I pride myself in doing a friendly and safe service. I have public and product liability insurance including goods in transit for piece of mind and only use new/certificated lifting equipment. Steven Mooney Machinery are based in Burgess Hill. They buy and sell secondhand mills, machining centres etc. Worth a shout to them, if they are delivering / collecting up t' North might be interested and do you a good price.
