chrism
Hi guys I have a pair of dana 60`s which i want to lower the gearing from 4.11 to around 4.5 to 5, and i believe series and 101 axles are variants of the dana so any ideas on what would fit and what are the ratios available in 101s and series axles Cheers Chris

I can't remember the 101 ratio but I think it is 5.3:1 or there about, quite rare though.
jimfoo
Why not just buy Dana 60 parts? They come in a ton of ratios.
bill van snorkle
The 101 ratio is either 5.56 or 5.58:1,I always confuse the two. You can use the Salisbury 4 pinion carrier in your Dana housings. You can also fit the Dana side gears into them to suit your existing Dana halfshafts. From memory I think I had to mix and match outer pinion bearing cups and cones when I built my front axle from a D60 rear axle with Salisbury ring and pinion and carrier assembly. The Sals pinion shaft was slightly larger in diameter, hence the mix and match. can't remember bearing part numbers but any good bearing supplier should be able to help you there. Bill.
