RangeyRover
I know roccia arches are no longer available and have looked at GPC innovate arches, but they dont seem to be as big or wide as the roccia ones. Any other alternatives on the market? Thanks RR update.... Ok found devon (How much!) and paddocks which seem to be the same as gpc? if the paddocks ones really look like the pic on the site i'll buy them. Anyone used them? RangeyRover
Hi, i have Paddocks arches on my 5dr. RRC. They look OK. I mounted them on rivet-nuts. i will try to find some pictures. Yes please. How much do they stick out from the wings? How much material has to come off the doors? Part of the problem is that unlike roccia, they don't put the fittting instructions on the web. So you cant work out what the job is till you buy em????? TIA RR
gazzer
I was going to use the paddocks ones on my disco until i sold it to Shrek. I looked at them at paddocks and they look like the are about 2"-3"wide.
teslo
They stick out about 2 inches. Front ones are really simple.

RangeyRover
Thanks Teslo. They look good. What size are your tyres? You have a good offset on the wheels. Hoping to do the same with disco steel rims inside out. RR
saddo
Hey RangeyRover, Does turning Disco rims inside out work OK on a Rangey then? I like the sound of that. Saddo.
RangeyRover
After all the special warnings about how you shouldn't do it etc, Here's what I think, in hypothetical engineering terms. Work required Quick and dirty.....The wheels need the seats cutting to match the taper that locates the wheel when normal way round. Or The centres need cutting out and welding back on to give the right way round and good offset. Thats it! For arguments Steering lock back Looks Good. Against arguments. Probably have insurance probs (So use them off road) There is an argument that there is a springing on the steel to help the nuts stay on, sort of like a spring washer. (Do the nuts up and check them regular, (oh your off road anyway so thats ok)) You WILL need extended arches and prob not so wide tyres Mine are 235/85/16 Pic and write up here http://www.rangerovers.net/outfitting/tire...assictires.html
