dkeene Posted May 7, 2008 Share Posted May 7, 2008 Hi, I've got a 99 disco II with ACE - it has no air bags since the coil spring conversion has been done - however the disco sits higher on the passenger side when it's not running and about two inches higher when it's running. It seems that the ACE is in bypass mode - due to the high circulation of fluid in the ACE/PS reservoir. I tried to check the ride height sensor in the front, but am unable to locate it. I found two wire connectors under the front passenger wheel well that have nothing to plug into. If someone can help me, it would be greatly appreciated. Ally V8 Posted May 7, 2008 Share Posted May 7, 2008 Sounds like one of the valves is stuck open in the ACE valve block,for it to hold the car to one side like that.(Normally the only way to make the ACE hold the car to one side is by using the "force outputs" menu whilst on Testbook.) ACE becomes active using a pair of accelerometers,one bolted to the rh side of the chassis,the other is in the roof.It is separate to the self leveling rear suspension,and uses a separate ecu.The agitation of the fluid is normal. It needs a quick session on Testbook to see whats going on - there may not be any stored faults as the memory is wiped at each key off,unlike just about every other ecu.
