McS Junior
Hi all, the rally team I work with use QT light pods for night stages. They're currently fitted with the standard Ring spots but I'm after upgrading them for something with a bit more range. Ideally, I'd like to go with HID, but they're expensive and they will mean additional wiring. So, what are you using in yours - does anyone have any recommendations? Cheers in advance. McS Junior
Cheers for that Tony. I'd seen them but I'm not sure they'll fit in the light pod. Worth a look though... Ross
streaky
We were talking to David Marsh at Billing a few years ago about this subject. He seemed to think that it wouldn't be too difficult to modify the pods to accept a really decent lamp like the Lightforce ones. We didn't take him up on the offer in the end... but you would be better off talking to QT to get the definative answer. There are some very cheap HID conversions available these days, you don't to go the whole hog...get a kit instead. Supervision is very popular over here. www.supervisionuae.com Regards. S. Marc1187
Have a quick look here. Lad at work has fitted hid's to his honda crx, bought from that website for about £100, they seem to work really well and they arent the highest powered ones you can buy.
