CoolHands
hi the fuel pipe from the filter looks like washing machine hose, which is doubtless brittle and about to catch fire!! Can I just buy any fuel hose in Halfords to replace it? Or should it be diesel specific? (or is there a genuine LR part number I should use?) cheers

The original was a hard plastic type and the fittings were prefitted to the end i think. Fuel hose is funny stuff. If ya run any amount of veggie oil then some hoses dont like it. Cos were talking about fuel hose i dont really want to recommend anything other than the original part. However if you were to ask what i got fitted on mine then i'd say .. http://www.biotuning.co.uk/ShopFittings.htm ... Its the 8mm hose. It says unleaded petrol on the side strangely enough. The quality of the hose is very important.

I using so bit of rubber hose on my 200TDI where the original plastic lines have been cut, works fine. Cheers Marco
