aljohnso
this is probably a stoopid question. Does anyone know if it is possible to fit a power take off and 3 point linkage to the back (or front) of a landy. I want a hefty grass cutter. Gremlin
It can be probably done as i have seen brochers of a multitude of various impliments adapted to work with a landy via the pto. Grem
sheeppimp
rear pto was available so that's ok 3 point linkage was done for the ag-rover concept. I think it fitted to the axle somehow. bit more info here
bill van snorkle
Quite a few of the pto applications shown on series advertising brochures in the 1960's and 70's do show grass cutting, ploughing adaptions etc, but the large turning circle and comparitive lack of traction made LandRovers less than ideal for type of jobs that a lightish 35 horsepower tractor was more suitable for. david1701
once upon a time i thought of doing similar, cos i only have a 2 acre paddock (small but big enough to take forever on a garden ride on) but in the end decided the lazy way would be a powered topper that goes on a tow ball (they make them for quads) and the lazier way (the one i went for) was befriending a farmer and getting him to cut it in exchange for fags/beer/whiskey or whatever your local farmers are bribeable with
