chrisp
hELLO i have removed passenger seat to paint - should it be there for MOT which is booked for today? Chrisp
tjolliffe
Dont quote me on this but as far as I am aware if you have the seat frame + seat belt removed it is classed as if there is not a seat there. My 90 failed it's last MOT on middle seat belt not working so the bloke at the garage just took out the seat frame and belt, it is then an untestable item. Your only worry may be that once it has been tested with no passenger seat it may be technically be 'illegal' to then put one back in after the MOT. Hope thats some help Tom
Guest noggy
it shouldnt effect it what so ever, as long as the frame is also removed.

chrisp
it shouldnt effect it what so ever, as long as the frame is also removed. I just got back - now i wait anxiously...will it pass? Apparently if no seat it is tested as no seat/s - so i left new seat in and told the gentleman that i would be bolting it in - he said when - is aid next week - he said ok but my main concern is levels of corrosion - great truck cab but i cannot repair bulkhead (cost) myself lets see what happens in the hands of the gods Chrisp PS thanks for prompt replies guys
