drkwack Posted August 10, 2008 Share Posted August 10, 2008 Hi, in the process of finally getting my disco back together, its a 95 300, my question is:- would i get better gear ratio's by fitting a transfer box from my old 200 def 90. gelf Posted August 10, 2008 Share Posted August 10, 2008 hi ya.......... with that size tyre, i dont think it would be worth the work......... if it had 35" fitted then i think the transfer box would make the gearing normal again, so with the 235s it would be under geared. someone correct me if im wrong. JimAttrill Posted August 10, 2008 Share Posted August 10, 2008 The difference in size between the std Disco tyres and the 85s is only 6.2% The 1.44 90 transfer box will gear it down more than that.
