Tyre size ruling

Recommended Posts

Just a quick question, does anybody know if challenge southwest max size of 36" tyres extends to the allowance of running Fedimas that can measure upto 37". I know that adventure4x4 actually use the fedima as the maximum allow size tyre although they did specify max as being 36" also

Thanks Adrian

Errr...Hmmm... Good question!... I have no idea despite being something to do with CSW... I would suspect that the answer is 'yes no problem' as if you read the rules and regs from CSW and 4x4adventures you will find that they are very similar. I will see if I can get the definitive answer from one of the commitee and update this thread ASAP

hi adrian

in answer to your question as long as the size printed on the tyre is 36" then that is fine

As Frank Says CSW work with whats printed on them

I work with a max of 36" but use a FEDIMA as a control tyre (as detailed in the regs) As the FEDIMA is quite big this actually means you can run other makes that are sized bigger than 36" as long as they sit lower in overall height than the control tyre. The control tyre being a FEDMA on modular rims at 20psi
