Sabre
The left rear door on my TDi can no longer be opened from outside, unless you pull very hard. It opens normaly from inside. I removed the panel, (braking at least half of those plastic trim clips ) hoping to find an adjustable linkage, but saw that all the links are fixed lengths. Can the problem be rectified without buying a new mechanism ? All help appreciated Regards JZ
BogMonster
If the links just need to be a bit shorter you might get away with putting a gentle "S" bend in the metal to reduce the length slightly?
Tinworm
Does the door open if someone lifts the button on the inside, while you pull the handle on the outside? If it does open when try this a small spring in the door catch has broken! These are available on e-bay and are very cheap! They are a little fiddly to fit!
