Hi everyone,

I just got this series III and according to CalVIN this is what I have:

949 Model: Land Rover, Series III

Body type: Station wagon

Wheel base: 109in

Engine: 6-cylinder

Model years: 1972-1979

Destination: Export, left-hand drive (LHD)

00990 Serial number

D Design: Three significant design modifications

now the question is what do three significant design modifications mean? anyone have an idea?

thanks in advance!

Owners of Series 2As have a reference list at http://www.lrfaq.org/Series/FAQ.S.Chassis_...suffix.IIA.html

I note that one of the sentences at the top of the page reads "The dates are the issue dates of the Service Newsletter announcing the change", so possibly what the OP needs is a similar collation of S3 Service Newsletter information.

Series III Club Forum, or Dunsfold?
