BogMonster Posted November 12, 2008 Share Posted November 12, 2008 Assuming the 98 is a Tdi (they started selling 99MY D2's in 98...) and the 04 will be a D2, probably not without some modification though it might be possible to modify it - though I don't know when the type approval regulations came into effect for tow hitches, best check those as well (even if it will fit, if you have a prang and have the wrong hitch fitted without the right type approval, you might find the insurance ain't worth the paper it is written on...)
