trogers
Hi all I am just about to tackle the replacement boot floor before it gets too bad. I have seen a replacement project on another landrover forum (sorry) where the boot floor has been fitted with a seies of 4.8mm large head pop rivets. It looks like a pretty good job. Is there any reason for MOT purposes that I cannot use this method. Thanks in advance

old110
If you can be bothered to then using nutserts and bolting it in is worthwhile. You can remove the entire floor if you ever need acces to the tank or chassis!

Thanks in advance Hi I replaced my disco 200tdi floor purchased it from Paddocks £45.00 + the dreaded . cheaper then trying to find a large sheet of steel to make a repair. I went for rivetts seems ok and I have removed the floor since to check everything before it went for a mot. just drill heads off and up the floor come. replaced floor and redo rivetts. must tell you when i originally removed the old floor the floor frame/ lip was badly rusted so made some more up and repaired frame lip before fitting new floor. go for it
TDi.Si
I replaced mine for a floor from a RR classic. £5 from the scrappy, there aluminium and rivited in as standard! Just have to trim a bit off the back and seal it in with silicone or similar.
