neil01
Hi all, i have recently come into an L reg 2.5 TDi Disco for nothing(well, £3.60 - new alt. belt!). after sorting the earth problem, i was considering changing all the lubes oil etc. i read that since a set date(cant remember when) land rover and dealers have now changed the oil in the swivel pin to a "grease" that negates the need to change again. is it worth doing and if so, is there anything else specific i would need to do or is it simply drain then squeeze! regards, Neil
andyb
the oil in the swivel pin to a "grease" that negates the need to change again. It doesn't really negate the need to change it again. Depends upon how good the swivel seals are and how much wading you do. (without wishing to appear rude) do a search on this forum. It has been discussed a fair bit. There are pros and cons
BogMonster
I'd leave oil in it, that way you know when there is a leak otherwise you can get water in there without knowing about it...
