TheRecklessEngineer
As the title really.... Seems my disco was put together with the last of the parts in the bin, and has an MPI crossmember. The mounts are in need of changing and no one seems to be able to get MPI mounts. If I can get my mits on a TDi crossmember then I can use TDi mounts... edit: A thought has just occured to me - are the gearbox to mount brackets different for an MPI? Guest diesel_jim
Looking through microcat, it shows the MPI brackets: #1 is/was NTC9424, but now removed from service. #5 is NTC9425 The above are the type that (look like) they mount onto the crossmember. However, also listed are some other mounts, as per a V8 manual, where they bolt onto the chassis side rails (i suppose, therefore meaning it didn't matter what crossmember you had: RH mount (for 2.0mpi) is ANR2898, which is the same as the Tdi LH mount (for 2.0mpi) is ANR3225, also the same as Tdi Crossmembers are as shown: #10 was NTC6285 up to VIN JA034313 where it became NTC7557 (from VIN KA034314 onwards) (£136! ) shown for Tdi #2 is NRC7768 for V8 twin carb (£143!) #3 (was NTC5031 and ANR3246 both removed from service) but now ANR2278 for Tdi manual (£91) #4 NTC9420 2.0mpi £136 Don't know if that helps or hinders at all! TheRecklessEngineer
Hmmmm...that's quite interesting. The first piccie you posted is definitely the arrangement I have, with #4 crossmember. Looks like I need the gearbox to mount brackets too. Anyone know if the TDi auto gearbox to mount brackets are the same as the manual version?

Guest diesel_jim
Anyone know if the TDi auto gearbox to mount brackets are the same as the manual version? Auto mountings: #5 = ANR3225 £13.44 #2 = ANR2898 £2.68 And exactly the same for the R380 manual. B) B) but totally different for the LT77

TheRecklessEngineer
Well, now I'm totally confused. The last piccie from Diesel jim of the auto crossmember and mountings looks exactly like the MPI mounts and crossmember, and exactly what is under my truck... Can anyone shed any light on this? Worth trying auto mounts?

TheRecklessEngineer
Found the right ones - the part number says they are for an auto, but they fit, so not complaining! Thanks for all your help.
